The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China recently approved the release of several industry standards for SD-WAN in a notice (No. 38 of 2023). One of these standards, YD/T 4460, "Key Indicator System for Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WAN)," has been officially published. Implementation of this standard will start on April 1, 2024.    

CypressTel, as one of the core drafting units, participated in developing this standard, led by the China Academy of Information and Communications Technology. CypressTel collaborated with over 10 organizations and platforms, including the Shenzhen Institute of Information and Communications, China Telecom, China Mobile Communications Group to jointly develop this standard. This demonstrates CypressTel's leading position in various key technical areas as a representative enterprise in the SD-WAN industry.

This standard defines key indicators and core technical requirements for SD-WAN services, overall solutions, and equipment. It evaluates service capabilities, service quality, solution technical functions, and security reliability. It provides standardized support to guide telecom operators, SD-WAN providers, and SD-WAN infrastructure manufacturers in their product research, development, and design, offering industry guidance.
